Privacy Policy
This explains what Three Word Revue collects, why, and what you can do about it. Plain version: we collect the little we need to run a review site, we don't sell it, and you can delete it.
What we collect
- Account: your username, email address, an optional display name, and a hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account id, email, name, and avatar.
- Your reviews: the three-word reviews you post and which books they're on. These are public.
- Technical: a session cookie to keep you logged in, and standard server logs.
How we use your email
Your email is used to verify your account, to sign you in, and for essential account messages (for example, password resets). We do not sell it, rent it, or use it for marketing. It is never shown publicly — only your username and optional display name are public.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from your settings. When you do, your account and all of your reviews are removed from the site immediately and permanently erased within 30 days. (We keep the short window only to recover from mistakes and abuse; after it, the data is gone for good.)
Cookies
We use one essential, first-party cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Third-party services
Book data and cover images come from Open Library and Google Books. Sign-in with Google is provided by Google. “Buy” links, when enabled, are affiliate links — we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
Your choices
You can edit your display name and email, edit or delete any review, and delete your account. To ask a question about your data, contact us at hello@threewordrevue.com.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know.
